Wanted: a developer with strong PHP, MySql, Html and jQuery skills.
The application that needs to be developed is a specific mini document management system (DMS). Containing teaching materials. Tailored to the needs of a non profit organisation.
It will run next to a Wordpress website that is already set up.
No user management is needed, the application must use the authentication provided in Wordpress (this is already done).
The DMS main entity is a Document. A Document has some attributes and consists of 1 or more physical files. These files can be of all kind (Word, Excel, Pdf, Ppt, Audio, Video, ...).
Basically the following functionality must be provided:
* Administration level (only for admins and editors)
- Management of a tree structure of categories of documents
- Create/Modify/Delete Documents
- Merge files from one Document to another Document
- Management of tags
* User level
- Create/Modify/Delete Documents
- Search within the DMS for Documents
- Walk the tree structure for Documents
In the future some changes will be made to optimize the system to the needs of its users.
Therefore all coding should be documented in English.
All variable names, function names, ... should be descriptive and in English.
Coding must be well structured.
Php classes should be used whenever possible, except when it will cause overkill.
CSS must be in a separate stylesheet file.
Language of website is Dutch. Translation will be done after finishing the application.
The deadline is May 15, 2014.
This must be respected. There is a lot of other work to do by our team members (migrating content, a lot of documents, translations, expanding website, …) that only can be started after the finish of this application.
