Web Design & Functionality
Brief
A website that is designed to capture user-entered data in regards to their property in order to send them an automated report instantly on property values in their area. The user-entered data is then emailed to an agent within the given postcode and that agent follows up with a more detailed property valuation report. The front-end should use a series of radio buttons, checkboxes, drop down menus, list boxes etc. An example of this can be found at each of the sites below.
Users
There are two primary users for this site. The first are the general public/home owners (users) who will use this site to enter details about their property and send it to the agent. Real Estate agents are the secondary user – they are sent the form in a HTML formatted email with all the relevant property details and contact details for the user.

Visual Appearance & Front end Functionality
You can find a template that demonstrates the ideal visual appearance of this site here:

We will be able to insert our own custom images where there are images in the template above.
There is only a need to have 3 main buttons on the front page. There will be a “Get your free online appraisal now” button, a “Home button” and a “How does it work” button.
In the smaller text based menu to the top of the page it will have the same options as stated above as well as a “Terms & conditions” and “Privacy” button – these will link to respective pages.
The buttons on the front of the page will link as follows:
Get your free online appraisal now – will link to the survey forms. These forms will be in the same style/template as the front page – design must be cohesive across the entire site. This may mean that the survey takes up multiple pages. If this is the case, the email that is sent to the agent with the completed survey details must be a single email and have ALL submitted data in it.
How Does It Work? – this button will link to a page in the same design as the rest of the site that explains how the site works. Text will be provided.
Home – this button will take people back to the completion page.
Once a survey is completed – users will be taken to a thank you page – text and graphics will be provided.
Back End
Each agent on the list is assigned a postcode or postcodes. When a user enters their postcode into the site it will tell the survey form what email address (agent) the completed form is to be sent to. All completed forms must be stored on the server in some manner so that an administrator can access them and download them as required.
Additional Functionality & Links
Ideally there should be a button placed on the site to allow users to follow the site throughout various forms of social media – facebook, twitter, youtube, linkedin etc.
The site needs to be easily updatable and administrated by semi-computer-literate managers.
