I'm a native Finnish speaker with plenty of experience in English/Finnish translation work. I have successfully completed several tens of translation projects here at Freelancer.com and elsewhere. For about 3 months I have also done some subtitling work for company that collaborates with major Finnish TV channels. While my subtitling work has been well received so far, I am not particularly well informed on some of the technical aspects of the subtitling process (for example, I would have to check which programs can read/produce your desired file formats). Nevertheless, I think that my subtitling experience gives me a clear advantage over any bidders who have no prior experience of subtitling at all. I also want to mention one thing about your project posting. Since the system works in such a manner that the project fee is deducted from the freelancer right away after accepting the project, and since the project fee will be a certain percentage of the bid as given on the basis of the min project budget, this can cause a huge deduction from the freelancer's balance. For this reason, I will require a milestone payment for the same sum to be released (not just created) in advance so that the balance evens out.
