Optimize Email accounts to Minimize going to Hotmail

Almost all emails sent to our customers with Hotmail email addresses go to their HOTMAIL Bulk/Junk folders and in some cases OUTLOOK's Bulk/Junk folders.
We are a company that has many email addresses all going through a VPS server in California but we are based in Spain. On one particular domain for example purposes let’s call it [login to view URL] we had to send an email to a customer. Out of the 4 email addresses 2 we know could not send this email but one of the others could? We normally send our emails using Microsoft Outlook 2007 or 2010
They are **NOT BULK** mail but legitimate emails to individual customers.
When we have done tests many times our mail goes into junk on hotmail, gmail, yahoo etc so we do not know if the customer has received the message as they have not replied to us. Consequently we are using an outlook account to send the message which defeats the object.
We have a CRM which we have problems with both incoming and outgoing emails. For example we never know if the email has been received as we have no fail return messages. Our CRM is built with SugarCRM.
I am looking for someone who has had experience dealing with the problem of **HOTMAIL DIRECTING LEGITIMATE EMAIL FROM WEBSITES TO CUSTOMERS BULK/JUNK MAIL FOLDER**.
We have already done much tweaking, with only limited success.
**Please reply ONLY IF you**:
(1) Have **experience working around HOTMAIL'S filters** to ensure legitimate emails are directed to USERS INBOX.
(2) You have **SUCCESSFULLY RESOLVED THESE ISSUES IN THE PAST**
(3) Your experience involves emails sent by an email server not under your direct control (ie: That of your Web Site Hosting Company)
(4) A knowledge of SugarCRM is important as we are not using it properly, have not really had any instruction, one staff member has many emails sat which cannot be moved.
