Graduated at Huddersfield Polytechnic in Bsc (Hon) Engineering control and systems and started work as a control system design engineer and then went on, to become a Software Engineer professional with proven record of developing bespoke software and hardware solution for the automotive, manufacturing, and surveillance industries using computers and/or PLC controllers to control, monitor and display the status of a process. During this time:
o I have successfully designed, developed, and supported a wide range off applications on my own and as a member of a team.
o I have developed electrical/electronic, pneumatic and hydraulic control system for test rigs, and PLC controlled pick and place system for manufacturing and automotive production lines.
o I have developed software to monitor, control and display status of test rigs, and mobile tracking using GEO-Mapping on PC (GUI).
o I have written software to interface with analogue, digital, and serial devices. To monitor, control and store the information collected into a database such as text/binary file, Microsoft access and SQL.
o I have also worked in the automotive industry developing test rigs. This involved monitoring, displaying and storing data received via RS232, RS485, PROFIBUS, CANBUS, TCP/IP, GPRS, GSM, Modems, analogue, etc
o I am proficient in Microsoft Excel, word, power point etc.
I have successfully developed software for desk top and web based application using Assembler, Visual Basic, VB6, C, C++, C#, VB.NET, ASP.NET and linking them to Database such as SQL.
I have maintained and developed new production lines using pick and place unit, robotics and other such devices using PLC such as OMRON, MITSUBUSI and SIEMENS using either Ladder Logic or Boolean.
I have also been involved in direct sales, which has helped me developed my communication skills face to face and over the telephone, and also improved my marketing skills.
I always keep to timescale, and completing projects within set deadlines and budget. Ensuring all activates meet and integrate with organizational/operational requirements for quality, health and safety, legal stipulation, environmental policies and duty of care.
