Freelancer.com Acquires DoNanza!

We're pleased to announce that Freelancer.com has acquired the assets of DoNanza, a freelancer job aggregation marketplace within the online freelance worker community. Founded in 2008 by Ami Dudu, Liran Kotzer, and Gil Pal, DoNanza consolidated freelance jobs published across the Web and matched them with freelancers based on their individual skill sets, price, and expectations. In 2011, DoNanza received $1 million in financing from Google Chairman Eric Schmidt’s Innovation Endeavors fund, Yossi Vardi, Afterdox and other investors.

Freelancer CEO Matt Barrie said, “The DoNanza assets are a great fit for Freelancer.com and will increase both the size of the community and marketplace liquidity -- two dimensions where we are already world leaders.”

Existing DoNanza accounts will be transferred to the Freelancer.com network and DoNanza users will receive an email about their new Freelancer.com accounts including login information after the migration. DoNanza users will now be a part of Freelancer's massive community of nearly 15 million users. They'll get access to thousands of projects posted on a daily basis in over 750 job categories, including Web and mobile app development, creative design, accounting, marketing, writing, translation, and more.
