Data based treemap

Here's the output of my script, currently limited to 27 different images (and thus 27 rows before caching of the same images is implemented). This is always a burden for web browsers and scripts as usually there are max. 6 to 32 total connections open to the same domain in a web browser. Screenshots thus show tiling with 9 and 27 images respectively, with 3 custom gradients and one image without it. Plus mobile versions and (CSV) data used. Nevertheless, I'm working further and this is actually a packing layout challenge with rectangles (usually only circles) and not a treemap chart per se (since you have only one category, no hierarchy). Please discuss (open private chat) for more information.

    I couldn't see the other images on my previous device - it does look nice and its good to see the different options/backgrounds/number of icons. How easy is it to pull data from other sources? I suspect this may be explained in your other entry / video (which I believe is this but with more numbers/functionality?) I will take a look at it now.

    Dear Sergej, Apologies for not replying to this earlier - it looks very nice. The threshold for grouping would vary depending on the usage but I expect it would generally be between 1 and 5%

    I'm going for complete script, so:
    - data from the source (CSV or parsed): OK;
    - images read and aligned (500+): OK;
    - resizing layout: OK, need to check on mobile devices.

    What should the threshold be for aggregating small items (your comment e.g. "everything with a percentage share < X% are grouped together in an 'other' treemap box")? Thanks.

    So, any thoughts, comments, rating? I have good first results optimizing the script and intend to script a solution that will render 500 images if not more as well.

      I have the enhanced script ready, with no issues of loading 500+ images, only needing to add resizing part (and reflowing map parts e.g. rectangles with images). I'll upload screenshots and a video in max. 24 hours from now.
