Contest Brief

I'd like someone to illustrate a joke, for a children's joke book.
IMPORTANT: This competition is to draw ONE joke, but please only enter if you'd like to be considered for a long term Freelancer assignment to illustrate several joke books; approximate scope is 60 cartoons per book, and they would be paid at 5USD per cartoon, to include commercial rights, one round of amends if required and submission of high-res files.
For this test competition, please illustrate ONE of the following jokes for 7 year olds (you choose!):
***
1) What's less scary than a tiger at the front door? A dandelion in your garden
2) How do artists protect their castle? With a drawbridge
3) My Grandad was 100 last week. He celebrated by going to the shops in his birthday suit.
4) Why did the farmer tiptoe around the building site? He didn't want to wake the bulldozer
5) Why do potatoes make the best teachers? Because they have eyes in the back of their head
6)What do you call a fish with no eyes? fsh!
7) Why did the iron stop working? It ran out of steam
8) What did the teacher shout when someone broke wind? I'll get to the bottom of this!

Requirements:
The illustration should be a black and white line drawing, which can optionally have shading; it would take up about a third of a page in a 5" x 8" book.
I'm interested in illustrators that bring out the humour of the joke in some way (characters, action, or a detail). The illustration may be the entire joke, or just part of it (eg for 4 above, you might draw just a farmer tiptoeing, or a farmer tiptoeing around a sleeping bulldozer). It needs to appeal to children (irreverent, cheeky, energetic). My preferred style is loose, a sketch, like pen-and-ink (like Tony Ross), not smooth renders or vector shapes.
NB: The amount of work you put into the sketch should be the same as you are prepared to replicate x60 for the full book, or series of books, at the rate stated above, ie it should be a good representation of what you could deliver longer term.

Your entry
In the notes, please state that you've read the terms of the full job proposed, would be happy to accept the rate, and indicate how long you would take to draw these.
Note: in the unlikely event that I don't get an entry that is right for the books, I'll award this prize to the best but will not proceed with the full assignment.
