Contest Brief

We would like to create a fresh new design for a newspaper insert for the new year. The insert is 8.5 x 11 inches double sided glossy.

Please look at last years insert and a more recent ad as well as the marked up version of last years insert. Also the picture of the Pavilion needs to be included in the new design and the picture of the Trampoline. Here are the files you need to look at:

Winning project must include the relevant information from the previous years project and must use the new logo. This is for standard letter size ( 8.5 x 11 ) insert full color, full bleed, double sided. Don't bother submitting a design if you haven't downloaded all of the files first and reviewed all of them so that you know what elements are needed and what elements to discard from last years insert.

Keep in mind that this is an Advertising piece, and it must be designed to sell product and/or get people to contact us or come in to our show rooms.

We will accept files in PDF or JPG format. We will render the final design in CorelDraw.

  CorelDraw is of coarse preferred, as that is what we use, however, that is not required, and we can handle files in most any format, however, in order of preference: CorelDraw, PDF, AI, EPS, JPG, Photoshop

To clarify your needs, are we to understand that anything without the X on the previous design is still to be included? (and of course, include the pointed out items from the recent ad.) Thank you.

  In addition, you have information overload on your previous insert sheet that I have no idea what you are selling! Please clarify what this new sheet is supposed to focus on! For any of us to effectively redo your design, half of information on the sheet needs to be eliminated just for us to work out a reasonable design for you (and I'm not even referring to the photos.)

  You were correct about the x'd items. However, you did a good job on your design. Please refer to the comments on your latest design. The two main focus items, Garages and Trampolines, with the secondary focus sheds, horse barns, and playsets and anything after that.
