Contest Brief

We are opening an indoor flea market in our area called Treasure Island Flea Market that will also have concession and arcades. We want a cute pirate as the mascot with a green parrot on his shoulder. Colors for mascot in red and yellow as shown in attached pic
We want it fun and creative. I am not sure if I want the pirate to have a hook, be holding a map or something fun from concessions such as a box of popcorn, cotton candy or candy apple. The parrot on his shoulder could
be sneaking a bite of whatever is in his hand or the bird could be holding it and eating.
I want people to smile when they see the name and the mascot. We will need this image for marketing purposes as well as website and most importantly our signage on the building. Our tagline that will be visible on the building is - New and Used Treasures to Explore!
So the mascot and his feathered friend needs to look excited about the exploring adventure! A treasure chest with random flea market finds mixed in with the pirates treasure and jewelry would be cute. A price tag hanging from the items with a dollar sign would give the viewer the idea of viewing the items from the market as part of the treasure the pirate has.
We would like the words Treasure Island arched over and Flea Market arched under the design on what looks like a wooden plank with letters in yellow.
I need 2 versions of the image - one with and one without the business name. All original sketches will be asked to be verified as well. Thank you! Have fun with it and any creative ideas we are open to.

    I am likign the idea of cotton candy, snow cone OR candy apple in the pirates hand. Also I just had an idea....I wonder what it would look like to incorporate some flea market finds in the treasure chest - maybe price tagged? Like a small lamp, book, etc along with some treasure of course. I was looking at the entries submitted and this idea came to me. Everyone is so talented and have done some amazing work! Thank you all so far.
