Contest Brief
I have a photo of the house plan that I really like. But I would like to figure out a way to reduce cost to the roof line and the foundation. For the roof line, I would like to reduce the amount of valleys and angles and pop outs. I would also like it to be a three car garage, which should also extend the size of the bonus room. As far as the foundation and footprint of the house, I would like the walls to be extended out to square off the design to create a more cost-effective foundation and build. I would plan to take your drawing to my local draftsmen for final plans due to local regulations. I just want to try to get something quickly. That gives them a good idea of what I am looking for. Would also like the vault in the great room to run the opposite direction so with the flow of the roof and again make the bonus room a bit bigger with the addition of the three car garage up there I would like the option to have two different bedrooms, one on either side and a bathroom roughed in would also like there to be closet in each bedroom up there. The closets can extend into the attic space in the garage area. I am also open to the two guest bedrooms on the main floor to have the addition of a walk-in closet in each and create a hall entry to that bathroom instead of Jack and Jill?. Maybe this could be added as an option?
