Contest Brief

I need a fashion designer to design a tie inspired by the island of the Dominican Republic.
When I say island-inspired, I'm thinking something floral maybe with bright colors, some palm trees, etc. Everything is up to you though.
With your design, include what fabric you would recommend using. Keep in mind that I plan to produce these ties with a unit cost of around $10 USD.
The tie should include Maximus, Maximus Fashion, or an M somewhere, front or back.
Designers in North or South America are preferred.

So, I like the more elegant design of #6 but also would like to see some more "island-inspired" designs. Maybe floral prints, abstract bright colors, some palms? It's all up to you. I don't want to seem like I am asking too much because I know the award is small but, if I really like your design, I can guarantee more work.
