Contest Brief

Looking for a professional artist to take our phrase and create a (print-friendly CMYK) design for a coffee mug.

The phrase is "Trained for years to be a healer in both worlds"

The target is gaming/mmorpg/dungeon & dragon playing doctors.

I want to art that shows the person is a doctor in-real life and also healer in-game (could be healing a party member etc...)

It could also focus on the training aspect and result of studying for medicine + practicing healing in-games.

The main focus there should be having a real life & gaming aspect.

Also attached is a mug template PSD from printify which you can use as a guide for the design.

Final product needs to be CMYK color mode for printing, fit perfectly inside the template file and will need source files at end.

Would love to work on more projects with top candidates (even if you don't get chosen for this one). I have a lot of other work in this area.

Just to recap:

Mug design needs phrase "Trained for years to be a healer in both worlds" on it.
Mug art should show a real life doctor/in-game healer relationship. Ideas can be studying for medicine/training in-game to heal. Or Doctor outfit etc.. and healing a party member in-game.

Avoid any resurrections spells for in-game and focus more on healing +HP etc...

Hi! Do you necessarily want it to be a worlds apart? I had in my head the crazy idea of a regular doctor who heals with magic like in mmorpg :) How's that for you?

  No, the target audience will be doctors/nurses in real life that enjoy playing healers in games. So the idea there is important. It also needs to be able to portray that idea (doctor/nurse who likes playing healers in game) without relying on the text. Hope that helps.

A few things to keep in mind when doing a design:

1) There really needs to be a real life/virtual aspect & mix to it. This is why I think a 2 scene design would be the best (as far as I can guess). People need to be able to see the design and understand right away:

a) There is a real life AND virtual theme to this that is related to doctors.
b) It is gaming related (preferably MMORPG style or RPG style).

2) Text font/design matters too. I want it to fit in nicely with the art.

Hopefully that makes sense. We need that distinction between the 2 lives and it needs to be super obvious right from first glance and without relying on the text.
