Contest Brief

We need a trendy, short and catchy name for a business that provides accounting, tax and bookkeeping services.

Some examples of companies that provide accounting software are XERO, QuickBooks, MYOB, Wave, Sage etc.
Above are good names but these are for software companies. We need a similar style (short and trendy) name but for a business that offers bookkeeping and accounting services. It's like providing an online bookkeeper or an accountant.

    I don't expect people to like every single one of my ideas. I can understand it. I know how hard it is to make this kind of decisions with so many entries coming and people behind you expecting the best (everybody wants to be called Amazon, Microsoft, Facebook, FedEx, etc.). The world works this way. And I do know that it was about a unique winner only. But I honestly don't like the way you did things in the end. If you needed more names you could ask all contestants to do it, not a limited group of them, not out of the contest context. All deserved an opportunity if giving a new chance was decided. It was a radical non-democratic decision. The platform does provide many ways to do it in a better way for any contest (giving more feedback, extending, clarifying, etc). Anyway, thanks and congratulations for the winner!

      Hi Leonardo, thanks for understanding our perspective as well. There were a total of 679 entries. A lot of entries also had dozens of names with in one entry. I guess you also did that for one of your entries. So overall we received 1,000+ suggestions. There were probably 100 that stood out and 10 that went to final round of selection. We can only speak with the 10 freelancers who managed to impress us and stand out. If we had gone to more freelancers, then we would have never been able to reach consensus. In saying that, we do take your feedback and will better manage rating and review process next time. I am glad you constructively provided your view. Thank you and all the best.

    Dear contestants, We would like to inform you all that none of the entry that were originally submitted made it to our final list on names being considered. There were a few freelancers whom we interacted with and they submitted more names. We selected some of those names as final list. The freelancer that has won, suggested a name that was available for registration. Before declaring him winner, we went and registered those domains, just to make sure we secure domain name before that is seen by others and someone else books that domain.

    We would also like to thank you all for your participation (both time and effort) and also for the patience while we went through all entries. Some of the entries are not rated or rejected. However, we have considered every entry several time and since they didn't match our imagination we didn't proceed further with those. We really appreciate that you took interest and submitted so many creative entries. Thank you and all the best!

      Muyideen, your entries were one of my personal favourites. I like how you also highlighted them with blue background to make them stand out and identifiable as your entries. I presented it to the wider but we couldn't get majority of team members to select from one of your entry. We highly appreciate the time and effort you put in. I am pretty sure, a different team would have kept you entries in the top entries as well. So its a shame that we couldn't select from your entries but trust me that we left no stone unturned in selecting what suited this project the best. So once again thanks a lot for your participation!

      Hi Justin, thanks for entries. As stated we are overwhelmed by number of entries. It's practically impossible to comment on every single rejected entry specially if they lack ingenuity or don't even match criteria. Arcount.com for example is available for registration for $2,500 (doesn't meet criteria, contest detail clearly states it will be rejected). Other couple of names you've suggested are slight variation of popular business names. Fixer is a popular US website, you've simply added extra alphabets and it still sounds Fixxerr. If someone suggests Goooggle or Faacebbook that would attract legal issues later and anyone with common sense will not use those names. Hope this explanation makes sense!
