Contest Brief

Looking for Mechanical Engineer to calculate pressure and structural parameters (material and wall thickness) of small, high temperature pressurized capsule to conduct evaporation experiments of Aluminum, Beryllium and Lithium Fluoride. Goal of the experiments is to maximize mass of evaporated material and minimize mass of the capsule. Use of ANSYS or ABAQUS software is plus, but manual calculations will be considered.
Please check attachments with capsule drawings. The capsules will be filled with Aluminum, Beryllium and Lithium Fluoride solid powder at fill rate (by volume) as shown in the drawings, evacuated and heated to Tboiling+ temperatures. You have to calculate vapor pressure as function of temperature (Tboiling +/- 300ºC) and material fill fraction, choose appropriate structural material, and calculate wall thickness in order to withstand pressure and temperature. Total Heat Capacity of the capsule (sensible heat+heat of fusion + heat of evaporation) have to be calculated/plotted as function of Temperature.
Thank you
