One thing I want to mention is that the american flag on the design #67 is divided into 2 pieces (the left one and the right one) and both have less than 100kb when saved for the web. As for the diagonal lines that you see on the designs, these are just the watermark so will be removed when submitting the psd file.

Hello barryhb, please check #72 . in this design, i have added the face book and twitter follow us button, i missed in my prior design, and added Grey gradient in background. i think with a gradient the site looks way better.

  Personally, I like purple, but I don't think it will work with this site. Red, white and blue might be a good place to start. Use the colors you think are best. Thx!
