I use osCmax 2.5.4 and SIM, to avoid PCI compliance issues. is disabling MD5 hash support in June, and also says SIM is "deprecated". What I need is an AJAX drop down box for customers to be able to select the make and model of their automobiles and the site displays to them what is available for their vehicle.
We have an old OSC based store that has been running smooth for about 10+ years currently sitting on a server running PHP 5.2.17 that we have to migrate now to a newer server so we can install SSL certificate. It is based on OSCMAX 2.0, which was based if I remember correctly on OSCommerce v2.0x. On the new server we can choose PHP version from 5.4 to 7.2. 5.4 stoped supporting register_globals, so the store dies with the error "FATAL ERROR: register_globals is disabled in , please enable it!". Commenting the code of course will not cut it, and I am sure there will be more things to fix with the 5.2 to 5.4+ change. Currently migrating everything to a newer store system is not really an option, so we would just like to keep the system as it is running on the new s...

We currently use dynamic mopics with oscmax and only have the name of the first image, and then the script displays the other images based on searching the folder. We need to create a script to find all images for each item. So for example on product one there is a single database field, and in the folder there is several others with a suffix _1 and _2 etc. * * * * What we want to do is create a database with 20 columns productid:image1:image2 etc and find all images for each product and place the correct file in each field. You will be supplied with the product table and the images folder in order to create this script. I need a product datafeed pulled from the mysql database for my oscMax 2.0 RC3 store to submit to my Wholesale Central account once a week. The script doesn't actually have to sumbit the datafeed, I can do that manually, but it needs to generate it in a text file that I can download and re-upload to my Wholesale Central account when new products are added. Changing over from 4D Business Kit to OSCMax for our music download site. Need to import the 4D database into OSCMax database. Been looking at the EasyPopulate feature of OSCMax, but it may be a little beyond me to figure out the best way to do this. Categories, genres, and languages are involved in the transfer, along with download options.... which EasyPopulate does not handle. We have a tab-delimited export file of the 4D database, which has all the information needed. OSCMax separates this information into several tables. The 4D software is running on a Mac G4 server and the new OSCMax software is running on a new Lenovo server. (if it matters)

Hello, We had done a portal in OSCMax 2.5.0 with PHP 5.3.29. It was working perfect for 2 years however as the PHP of our Server was upgraded to 5.4.35 however after this upgrade all the Rates of Products became Zero (NIL) tough we can see the same in admin but Frontend its Zero only. We need to fix this asap also the Bidder will need to tell us the solution to this problem too. We have an online shop at based on osCMax 2.0.25 (osCommerce 2.2RC2a). It is (of course) heavily modified. Now we would like to add a template to support mobile devices. This template should support smartphones and tablets with a horizontal resolution of at least 480px. Since recent smartphones and tablets feature way higher resolutions, suggestions on how to optimize the template for a wide range of device resolutions are welcome. Looks like you are one of the few people who know osCmax and SIM. I've tried for years to make this work. I have a working store with AIM, but would like to get out of the hassle with PCI compliance. When I enable SIM, I can do the payment page, but then it goes back to the osCmax login page. I think some setting on is not correct to send back the completion info to osCmax. So, I don't think there is any code to be written, I just need help configuring and maybe some settings on the store. Thanks, Jon
I have an existing osCmax store, and use PayPal and AIM. To avoid all the PCI hassles, I'd prefer to use SIM. But, I can't get it to work. I see that sends a POST to the store at the file, but with NO DATA following the file name. I'm thinking this may be the problem. If I set up for test, then when I complete the payment page on , I get sent back to the osCmax login page. Thanks, Jon

I am building a website using osCommerce (oscMax) and need to make some changes to the way attributes are handled. I can show you a working example of this in a plain html/ajax page on my server. The sample uses mysql to populate the fields. Basically, There are 4 options, Type, Style, Size, Colour After selecting "Type", the "Style" dropdown is populated, then when "Style" is selected, the "Size" dropdown is populated. Then when "Size" is selected, the "Colour" radio buttons (images) are displayed based on previous selections. I need this to be done within the product attributes.
