create a short (no more than 1 minute) animation that features NON-MAINSTREAM/NON-STEREOTYPICAL characters. Characters must strike out against gender, race, sexual orientation norms present in typical mainstream entertainment. You will be graded on creativity, message/topic/thoughtfulness of presentation and idea, and quality of production. This assignment will require a brief written analysis of stereotypical roles in television. the video should prove the stereotype wrong, like the message or action made in the video should be the opposite of the stereotype. you can choose either stereotypes: 1. all white men are racist or 2. african americans are good at basketball so if you choose the first stereotype, you can make a video about white people accepting black people . if you choose the second stereotype, you can make a video about a black guy playing against a white guy basketball and make the white guy win, that would prove the stereotype wrong. please message me for more clarification.
