Project NEEDS to be updated with information...financials Breathing Center of Raleigh, has a state- of- the- art facility and Rehab Department. Our multi-disciplinary program which provides exercise, conditioning, endurance training, education and emotional support to patients with chronic pulmonary diseases. The objective of our outpatient comprehensive rehabilitation program is to help chronic lung patients control and alleviate the symptoms and complications associated with various lung diseases (cough, shortness of breath, fatigue, etc.). The program has reduced hospital admissions for our participants, reduced medication costs, increased functional capacity and give patients with this often debilitating disease a better quality of life. The Program The pulmonary rehabilitation program at the Breathing Center of Raleigh, strives to stabilize or reverse both the physical and mental aspects of pulmonary disease and attempts to return each patient to the highest possible functional capacity allowed by his/her condition and life style. The treatment team consists of exercise physiologists, respiratory therapists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, dieticians as well as a licensed professional counselor. The team is led by our medical director and pulmonologist. Who Can Benefit?
