I need an extremely basic program. 1. Go to a URL. The URL will return a number (plain HTML/or XML - whichever you prefer) 2. Go to another URL, another number will be returned 3. Go to a third URL, another number will be returned 4. Take these 3 numbers, and display them on the screen. Perhaps always on top. Example: Outstanding e-mails : 3 Outstanding orders : 4 Outstanding tickets : 5 5. Refresh the numbers every 5 minutes and display accordingly. 6. If any of the numbers is greater than 5 - rename the "hosts" file from "hosts-banned" to "hosts" and original "hosts" to "hosts-allowed". Reverse if the number is less than 5. Naturally here we need to remember that is they are currently "banned", there is no need to rename the file. In short, what I am doing: I want to limit the sites my staff visit if there are any open queries/emails on our system. Being a PHP programmer, I will do the side which determines how many queries are open. I need a windows language programmer to get the web based result, process and rename the hosts file accordingly. One hosts file block the sites I want to block, the other hosts file will allow. Windows 7 and Windows 8 - to please note that the files have to be named with Administrator rights. Any takers?
