PROJECT HAS BEEN UPDATED:
we are NO longer looking to write the application; we need just a very graphics-based prototype of our project (probably AJAX). We only need two functionalities:
1) password protect the site
2) creation of 10 stock and 10 user profiles
and
3) JUST TWO SAMPLES OF THIS: highly graphical revolving globe, where you click on parts of the globe and it links to that region of the world with another rich interactive (cgi-like) graphic, such as the taj mahal or the eiffel tower
ALSO, our budget has changed to $100-300 since this is essentially just web design. Please do not ask for higher bids as they will be ignored.
