1. I have a excel spreadsheet with aprox 35,000 contact / property records - I have a 2nd excel spreadsheet with aprox 4,000 records to update into the larger spredsheet - new contact names (most fields are the same in both spreadsheet)

I was a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in both Excel and Access database. The best way to update your master spreadsheet is to convert to Access, update in Access, and then convert back to Excel. I can do that easily.
