I need an led light, or something of similar brightness and colour, no more than 1 centimetre in diameter, that will activate upon opening something. This is much like a musical greeting card. It needs to be safe around flammable, and/or plastic material. The smaller and brighter (not blindingly bright), the better. If in order to keep it safe, it needs to be container in something, that's fine so long as the result doesn't exceed a width of 1 cm, and a length of 3cm.

Hello, if i understood well you need a device not a schematic to build a device? I am electrical engineer with experience in designing circuits. You could check my profile and portfolio. This project is very simple and basic. I can build you a device that has a switch and when it's closed it will be off but when you open it the switch will activate circle and light up the LED.
