Project Description

I have a spreadsheet I need to fill with data about museums in NYC.

This is the spreadsheet:

[url removed, login to view]

The museums should be taken from this list:

[url removed, login to view]

There are 214 museums in that list, I entered them in the spreadsheet, filled in some of the fields and completed 2 museums as an example.

1. Some of the information can be taken from the wikipedia page, and some from the museum's website or internet search.

2. If there was a bit of information that couldn't be found, mark the cell red so we can notice it.

3. The format has to be exact! The spreadsheet has 2 museums that you can see as examples. For example, the admission prices have to be in the format of: "[description1]: [price1]<new line>[description2]: [price2]..." - look at the entries I already inserted in the spreadsheet to understand better.

4. The image url needs to be a link to an image, i.e. the link should end with .jpg or .png, and the image should be representing the museum (preferably the building) and it preferably needs to be taken from the museum's website not the wikipedia page. The image should also preferably be large and not a thumbnail so search for large versions of the images (min. 250px*250px)

5. The description also should preferably come from the museum's website in the "home" or the "about" section, not the wikipedia page.

6. For the contact person look for someone with a position in these areas in the following order: digital, marketing, learning, technology, management, curating, any other position, general enquiry email. So the best option is to find someone who is in charge of digital, then marketing etc. and the worst is a general enquiry email with no contact person. Finding the contact person isn't always just there, in the first entry in the spreadsheet for example I searched the web till I found this link with the information: [url removed, login to view] and in the second entry, though I couldn't find a direct contact and there was no email on the website, I managed to find this general email in the NPS directory: [url removed, login to view]
