The database is able to take snapshots of the data (for reporting purposes and analysis) as well as export data to an Excel file. Based on my limited knowledge of your project, I would recommend Access. Access has a smoother user interface. Excel is better for analyzing the data. I would provide updates and drafts of the files so you could ensure you are getting what you wanted. If you have existing data, we could do a mass upload into the new database.
