Dear Sir or Madam,
I was excited to see your offer for a French translator, and I hope this letter will arouse your interest in considering my application.
I am a french native, registered self-employed in France and have been working as a professional translator full-time since early 2012.
My fields of expertise are variable and very wide ranging, and comprise first and foremost literature, arts and humanities —as I specialised in Anglo-Saxon literature and linguistics through my first degree at university—, but also business and commerce (I also have an international business studies BTS diploma); while my other main fields of expertise consist of food and nutrition, (Information-) Technologies, history, politics, science and environmental issues.
I am diligent, resourceful and quick and It would be a pleasure to collaborate with you.
You can be rest assured about my sincerity, punctuality and dedication. I can provide references of people that can vouch for me.
All things considered, I feel certain that my ability to swiftly and accurately translate will be of immediate value to your company.
I would dearly like to further discuss the scope of this position with you over the telephone, and would welcome the chance of a meeting via skype. Or any other means that you may see fit.
Thank you for considering my application. I look forward to your positive response.
Best regards,
Philippe MOREL
