Hello,
I've written a children's story and am looking for a talented writer (who's first language is English) to greatly improve upon it. I've written it from the narrators point of view and would like it to be from the voice of the characters.
The story is an adventure story with humor that involves a Grandmother and some old-time swashbuckling pirates from days of yore, with a slap and dash of a contemporary story line running into it.
This is the type of book that a parent would enjoy reading to their eight through twelve year old.
This book should be about 120-150 pages.
The book, "The Invention of Hugo Cabret," and the incredible children's book illustrator and author, Quint Bucholz are things that I admire, although my story is not like either of theirs, except in the fact that I am looking to present this story in the richness of the quality that they exemplify. Another set of reference points is that I grew up watching, Rocky and his Friends cartoon show with their Aesop's Fables, that was able to entertain children and older kids as the same time.
