I need a program that would allow a staff of barbers/beauticians the ability to keep track of who is next in line. Also it must provide the position and estimated wait time specific for a customer. For example some customers will only wait for a specific barber.
Customer will walk into a barbershop and request a specific barber or will be assigned a specific barber. . The barber will add the customer to his wait list by filling out a form on his mobile browser.. information like email address, name, estimated time client should return for service, hair cut style etc and if client booked previously all fields will auto populate. Once the client has been added to the waitlist.. the client can safely leave the shop while maintaining his place in line.
Client will have the ability to login to the system to view his place in line and estimated wait time.. (The system will automatically start to count down from time put in by barber.
When the barber first adds the client to his list it will send client an email and sms message stating his estimated wait time and place in line. Every time the barber takes a new client from the list all clients currently waiting in line will receive a notification email and sms stating their new place in line and estimated wait time.
Everytime the barber takes a new client from the line, the barber must update the system via his mobile browser.
For example before the barber starts cutting "Jack's" hair he will update the system my clicking jack's name on his list and selecting the options " In chair", or "no show". Once the barber updates the system an email/sms notification will go out to the next person in line telling him to return to the shop because he is next in line.
If the client who is next in line logged into the system it would tell him to return to the shop because he is next and line and also provide estimated time to return..
This application should be responsive, using twitter bootstrap.
Barbers should be grouped by barbershop. So all barbers belonging to the same barbershop will share client info.
I prefer if site was built using bootstrap with a simple look and feel similar to dropbox UI
