I'm looking to build an online decal store, specifically engineered for the sale of guitar headstock decals.
The store must include an interactive design module where visitors can put together their headstock design using fonts, clipart and uploadable artwork in vector format. Said module must include a method to export the customer's design to a layered vector file format forwarded along with their order to my mailbox. Payment methods must include Credit Card processing and Paypal. I already have a merchant bank, Linkpoint, which must be seamlessly integrated to handle orders and card processing.
My primary focus is to count with a modern, fast and easy to use interface for the clients to put together their headstock designs. the module must be able to suggest changes should designs be too intricate for dye-cutting (method we use for manufacturing). It must be able to simplify uploaded designs and the integrated database must be able to keep customer orders and designs on file for repeat orders and future orders.
The design module must be live and empower the user to include font changes, curvature of text, drop shading, alterations to size, position, rotation, skew, deformations and curves along paths for their custom designs. Once the design is finished, said artwork must be converted to adobe illustrator, EPS, or coreldraw CDR layered vector for use directly by our cutting software which imports these formats. Also plausible is the use of SVG as a vector format.
Shopping cart must be able to show the customer's design in a thumbnail preview contained within the invoice and emailed to both the customer and our designer via email.
I already have hosting and encrypted shopping cart, and database for the incorporation of the new website.
We will carry not only custom font selections but also a line of standard decal designs which must also be shown in the store.
I will require easy updates for myself to be able to add fonts, clipart, designs, etc without the need to contract the designer for any changes with regards to product stock or availability.
