I need help with a few final CSS updates to my Shopify website before we launch a new version. There are some bugs that I can't figure out on my own. I'm sure many of these are simple CSS edits, and I'd like you to send me the code and let me integrate it rather than work in the actual code base itself. I would envision that you go to my site and understand the CSS edits that are required without ever actually needing a Shopify login to get to the code itself.
Here is the list of things that need to be done. I will send the actual website at the next stage:
Desktop view:
- Figure out why the navigation drop-down menus disappear when you scroll the mouse into them. This makes it impossible to click one of the links. Note that this does not happen when you've scrolled down the screen and the nav panel has locked in a fixed position. Also note that when you're on a product page (rather than the home page), the sub-menu gets hidden behind other elements on the page (maybe a z-index issue?)
- When the search icon (magnifying glass) is clicked, the whole background is supposed to have a dark overlay. For some reason, the nav links with sub-menus don't do this. Need them to do exactly what the other links do.
- When you click the cart button (a baby buggy), the cart scrolls out from the right. What I don't like is that the words for long product names run behind the + and - buttons. I need the words to stop before getting to those buttons.
- I also need those + and - buttons to be easier to click on a phone. For some reason, the actual link area is offset a bit from the button itself, so it can be hard to click
- I also need to make the input box something that cannot be clicked into. It still needs to be an input or else some of the javascript won't work, but I don't want people to be able to change it unless they are using the + and - buttons.
