We have created a Marcel Duchamp inspired art project called Human Tide ([login to view URL]). As part of this project we have recorded the GPS locations of people walking one kilometre along a beach. We want to experiment with visualising this data and we are looking for enthusiastic developers who would like to help.
We are looking for developers to take a simple JSON object of longitude and latitude values and using the framework/technique of their choice, dynamically render that data in html/css/svg/processing/d3js/canvas etc. You can see a very basic video example here: [login to view URL]
We are looking for a visual outcome that looks more like art than a precise measurement of distance. We are flexible on how this might look (see examples). We are explicitly NOT looking for the data to be rendered on a map.
We need
*An interface that allows users to view the data as paths in 3d space.
*Users should be able to control the visual effect applied to the paths (see examples) using sliders or other UI controls.
*Users should be able to pan, zoom and rotate the object using their mouse or keyboard or on screen controls .
*The project must be delivered as stand-alone html plus assets.
*The output needs to be well commented in English
You can download the data here: [login to view URL]

We would like proposals to include an outline of what you plan to build and how.
We need the project to be completed within one month.
Budget is £400.
If your proposal would be outside of the budget we would be interested in hearing how you might be able to break the project into smaller pieces.
We look forward to hearing from you!
Interesting locations and JSON. You'll have it light weight, and visual effects. I can start now ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
