We are a company dealing with plastic semi finished products and our market is B2B.
We would like to further develop our ecommerce platform:
First of all, our objectives: not only and mainly increase our sales, but mostly improve our existing sales procedures (we have approximately 1000 accounts, with high growth rates). Besides that we would like to use the ecommerce platform to make internationalization possible (Italian – English – German – French)
Our ERP system is OpenERP ver. 6.1 for all company parts (sales, invoicing, purchasing…), we have Magento connector already installed.
OpenERP supplies prices, lead time, transport costs etc, thus Magento should only read these data and make them available.
Currently we have our website on a local provider, and our Magento platform locally, surely we will have to find other alternatives to have Magento up and running.
What is there:
a copy of our website within Magento and some basic links between Magento and OpenERP
What is missing:
- Improve usability of the home page ([login to view URL])
- Import product categories
- Import of Customers and discounts with specific product discounts (also saved and managed via OpenERP)
- Populate product data in the reserved area
- Connect customer documents in reserved area for each Customer (invoices, transport documents, preferred materials list)
- Send availability, prices etc from OpenERP to Magento, and allow Magento to show prices and so on after login
- Allow receiving orders via Magento and link them to OpenERP
- Verify import of orders in Magento
- Define where Magento should be hosted and verify links
- Move ecommerce into another location (curently on our server)
- Beta testing final ecommerce
- Final mock up
- Go live
