Project scope is to add some functionality to the attached existing app, without changing any of the existing structure. App has to work on Android 2.3 and above. Conceptually, the app would create a log capturing MAC address, file read, timestamp, and also write to a mysql db.
Specifically:
- pull MAC address from resident device
- capture name of file being played
- capture timestamp of file play start and end, in format yyyy-mm-dd hh:mm
- write in log the above data
- write in mysql db MAC, filename and timestamp in field : MAC_address , played_filename , start_time , end_time
- add to the existing settings menu item to add location of db, user name and password
