Business logo needed

I need a simple yet effective logo for my decorative painting business. It should reflect personality of business and not be complicated or busy type of logo. Logo should be designed with intent of branding. Simple, but not cheap or generic looking. A lot of the work I do is fancy and particular, but I also do general interior/exterior house painting work and have a crew of painters for that. We run a broad service of painting w/ an artistic touch. Much of the clientel are interior designers and custom builders. Think architectural, moreso than fancy art. If possible, combine elements of architecture w/ art. No more than 3 colors. Maybe 2 colors and black, (or dark blue). Wording for Logo: "MDR Decorative Painting". I consider myself a decorative painter which is not limited to faux painting, but is doing all levels of painting and working with custom colors, decorating and interior design.I use a lot of kinds of brushes and tools for rendering effects. These can be found on websites that sell to woodgrainers, faux painters, and decorative painters. I will explain what I don't want in a logo: -I don't want a square with a texture in it, or boxes with various finishes in them. -I don't want the typical house, paint can, or roller that is often used in generic clip-art. -I don't want logo to look like it was designed by a coder or IT professional. - I do not want logo to look feminine, with flowers, or pastel colors. - I do not want common or generic fonts that are often used in cheap ads in newspapers and novice contracters. The challenge at hand is to come up with a logo that somehow reflects this unique trade that involves architecture, art, design, color, texture and keep it simple (uncomplicated) for branding effect. I see some logos have this unique expression. This is the art of logo design at its best, when that is achieved. The good news is I am patient and flexible with deadline. I would rather have a great end result than press you to make deadline, sacrificing quality of work to do it. ## Deliverables I would like to see maybe one or two vivid colors. Background will be white. Logo will be used on my vehicles, business cards, and lawn signs which are white background. Will need to be expandable (vector) type or suitable for various advertising media and have branding quality. TY
