detecting objects in an image

hi could you please explain a bit more on how you would like to detect these objects? would it be several images and you need a machine learning algorithm to automatically detect these objects? or would it be one time only so that you could further analyse it? if you are looking for simple object detection, you could do it using matlab built in simple functions. one key idea could be removing background object. you need to provide sample images first, details your need, only then i could able to answer whether it is doable for me or not. thanks wahid

I have been working on this field from past 2 semesters. I have developed an OCR system for recognition of handwritten gujarati script using various feature extraction methods and FLANN as classifier. While working on this I got acquainted with Matlab and it's Image processing functions very efficiently. I think this makes me the best candidate for this. And as your requirement is of Identification of different components in an image, my acquaintance with Computer vision will play a positive role in this aspect.
