I need an experienced Excel Programmer to develop an automation/vb script to do the following.
1. Import a txt file from a specified location (with the most recent timestamp) - which is in a format as listed below - YYMMDDXXXXX,TXT
2. Delete contents of last 2 Columns except last row (the number of rows may change from file to file)
3. Change Column C format to a Custom format of 16 zeros
4. Save file in format Company_Name (which will not change) - MM-DD-YYYY (2 days prior to date found in txt file) and save as Excel 97/2003 format.
I have worked extensively (10+ years) on Excel automation and vba. Currently, I am working for a multi-national company and programming is my hobby.
I have worked on a similar requirements using the DIR() function in VBA which returns the filenames and then sort them on timestamp to pick the latest file.
The last 3 requirements are very simple and can be easily achieved by basic VBA command.
