Hi, All this stuff is really amazing (the-shared-data-layer-of-the-blockchain), last time I tried to get a copy of the blockchain was about 6GB more or less in size (20 GB to date). My purposes of getting the blockchain was to start mining. But used like a STORAGE system is really something new and crazy. Well here we need to do some research much of this reasear will focus on the bitcoin source code of a current client for bitcoin., It may me to have some reads of the orginal paper from Satoshi.
