Design 2 stage program / code to scan mysql database, check dead links, then find files and reupload

I am very proficient in c, c++. I have 15 years c++ developing experience now, and I have worked for 5 years. My work is online game developing, and mainly focus on server side, the lauguage is c++ under linux os. So, programming in c++ is never a problem. Hello. Interested in your project. Have some confusions, like why would you need the found dead links to be "compiled into a file" instead of a zipped csv file for example? We can do this using perl easily. * First make a connection to the mysql server(Centos machine) * then prepare a query to read the column having file link. * Keep these links in an array. and compile each link to check if it is not dead link. * If it is dead link upload it to another server (ubuntu zfs), using scp command, in the respective directory. * update the database with new link. * we can cron the script to run it for every 2nd day.
