Develop a Mac Application

This is a virtual internship at GuruListen Inc. GuruListen Inc is a start-up organization whose vision is to create a mobile application and is dedicated to enhancing society by creating a platform for a better way to communicate at any level. GuruListen Inc. was founded in New Jersey and will be operated from Downtown Jersey City and New York City. We are looking for a Web Developer intern to research, design, and build a website and/or application for our new project GuruListen Inc. Our ideal candidate has experience working with programs such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, PHP, can create user friendly environments. The candidate will also serve as a knowledge resource for the latest trends and technologies within web development. For this position, the candidate will work actively to assist in improving the usability, efficiency, and overall effectiveness of our team. Essential duties and Responsibilities: - Creating and developing an Application from the ground up. - Developing an application using the Android SDK and/or iOS operating systems, for large and small screen devices - Assist with validating and measuring user experience success via usability testing and post deployment evaluations Skills, Knowledge and Personal Attributes: - Mobile development experience - Knowledge of Eclipse and Xcode - SOCIAL NETWORK integration - Works well independently and within a team - Experience working with HTML and CSS - Understanding of JavaScript, jQuery, and PHP - Strong Problem solving skills. - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - A desire to learn and push the boundaries of mobile applications. - Must be organized, have an eye for detail, and be able to put ideas into a tangible form. - Ability to develop new approaches to complex design problems. - Coding standards, organizational programming skills(No messy coding) and good commenting practices is important. - Must be able to meet deadlines. - Work Examples to BACKUP skills. (Not a must but a Big Plus) - Social media integration - Mobile App Development for iOS and Android operating systems.
