I have an urgent requirement to develop a small plugin for a Joomla 2.5 site running Akeeba Subscriptions.
Using the attached plugin as an example, this plugin should add a custom field to the Akeeba Subscriptions registration form (the example plugin does this). The new field to be added needs to be driven through an AJAX lookup so that as the first 2 or more characters are input, a drop down list of possible selections appears. The drop down list will be fed from a database table which already exists. The attached component [url removed, login to view] installs this list.
The file [url removed, login to view] is provided by [url removed, login to view] as part of the Akeebasubscriptions package. This details how to add 2 sample fields to the form. This requirement is to use [url removed, login to view] as a base and rebuild so that it adds a single field for "Local Authority" and as characters are typed into this field, it then creates a drop down list from the database table in com_LAG.
The plugin should utilise jQuery which will already be loaded as part of the Joomla installation.
