Cash Generating Websites

Im looking for a complete original website that will be able to generate a decent amount of cash flow for me. Something that is orginal and not too over done. What kinds of websites are making cash nowadays anyways? Adsense websites seem to be over done - is it really even possible to get high ranking with an adsense website and bring enough traffic in to collect some cash? Let me hear some ideas. Im also not opposed to purchasing an existing site with a good rep and guarenteed cash flow.
