A Windows application that will record anything that is being played through the sound card's speakers and burn it to an audio CD in Real-Time (CDDA). It should use as little temporary hard disk space as possible. The program must run on Windows 98, ME, XP, and 2000.
I prefer that this application to be created in Visual Basic (MSVC++ is okay). If any external or 3rd party ActiveX or DLL modules are used, you must have the legal authorization be able to distribute it without royalties with the application.
The program should have a very simple interface, including a list box that will show all of the recordable drives on the system, a Record Now button, a Stop button, and a progress bar that shows the CDR's free space. It should detect that a blank CDR is in the drive, and if it is a DVDR drive, it should detect that a CDR is in the drive and not a DVD+/-R.
When the recording is stopped, the CD should be closed. The resulting CD must be in a standard Red Book compliant audio CD format, so that it can be played on any CD player (computer or standalone stereo).
A setup package is not needed. Only the program exe file and any external ocx/dll/etc files that the program needs are required.
