Book to Software Project

I have written a book on thorughbred handiapping that I want to turn into software. There is currently an *.EXE file that is downloaded from an online service that provides all the needed data for my use. It then is opened and becomes a group of *.dbf files. From there, I want to be able to sort on any of the fields with customized Access querries. So I would guess the bidder mst be able to manage Access querries extensively. They are not that complex but they are beyond my interest in learning how to do at this time. In the end, I will want to have a customized software product. But the initial setup should be developed in Access for live beta testing of my concepts and theories. While time is not critical, I would like it done ASAP. I will be looking to the developer for recommendations for the final product platform also (VB, Oracle, etc.). The product will not only handicap the race, but also structure the selections into the proposed wager. In other words, the only thing left for me to do is purchase the ticket. The ultimate product will tie into an online tote service and do wagering adjustements based on realtime odds and available capital. I currently do not plan on marketing the final product, but the plans may change. Th product must be able to work on Windows 98, Windows 2000 and Windows XP. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Installation package that will install the software (in ready-to-run condition) on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) Complete ownership and distribution copyrights to all work purchased. 4) Timeline for development should be short. ## Platform Windows in all 3.0+ versions.
