Crack-A-Track - an unusual and exciting project, which will look great on a CV for anyone specialising in music/media realms This multi-phase project will create entirely new opportunities for customers to experience and interact with music and video media files, for fun, or for specialist professional ends. It will also potentially provide a whole new way of marketing music for record companies, both mainstream and independent. THIS BID The first phase will be a small & quick stand-alone project - completed to full handover status - aiming to prove the basic technical and commercial viability of the core concept. So one-off developer bids welcome HOWEVER... we hope that this phase will allow us to establish a partnering relationship with the developer(s) who will build and evolve the full solution with us over the next several years. THE DETAILS Crack-a-Track will be built using the Windows Media Player 10 SDK, taking full advantage of the powerful capabilities already available in Windows Media Player 10, as well as easy adoption among the many millions of end customers who already use this product. **The simplicity of the core concept, and the relative ease with which it can be built, mean that we cannot provide detailed information in this brief, but full detailed use cases will be provided to shortlisted respondents ** We need to start development by April 2006, so please reply by 12 March 2006. ## Deliverables **DELIVERABLES - specifics at selection stage, but essentially we will require: ** 1 - Complete and fully-functional working program(s) as detailed in the use cases to be provided, in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done 2 - A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. NOTE: All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased.
