I need Article Manager software integrated into my site -
This is a simple project -- I need software that I have already purchased and uploaded to my server to be implemented to my web site.
I have a template for the software program Article Manager which can be found here - [interactive tools
][1]
In order to implement Article Manager, you need a template which I already have done - see it here
<[login to view URL]> -
I'd like the double lined table to be single lined...obviously I'd have to edit the template for the fonts, colors, etc later on for exact look, but the layout is fine.
## Deliverables
*
What the coder will do:
1) read the documentation <[login to view URL]>
<[login to view URL]>
2) Integrate Article Manager into my site.
That's it.
What's below is from Interactivetools web site, my text is after the " <---- "
The administration interface is completely customizable too. <-- Sure, why not do this, seems simple enough....
Archiving feature. Gather your older articles into archives to improve performance. <--- yes, I want this...
* Format content with no HTML skills using the WYSIWYG editor (requires IE 5.5+ on Windows). <--yes, I'd like this feature - WYSIWG editor is right there on the screen.
* **Publish Articles**
* The system auto-dates new articles, or you can change the date manually. <-- yes, this is automatic...
* Articles can be set as:
* * Visible: published to the website immediately when saved. <-- yes, this is automatic...
* Pending: saved to the system, but not published until an editor approves it. <-- yes, I want to authorize articles until they become a trusted writer... <-- automatic
* Hidden: disable an article so it's not visible to the public (use this when you want to pull an article to revise it). <-- yes, this is automatic
or use our **WYSIWYG** editor to create articles with word processor-like formatting. <-- yes, use WISYWIG - all features
* * Insert horizontal lines, hyperlinks, and images
* Specify a unique filename for each article. <--would like AM to name article files as "authorlastname", "authorslastname2", etc... I am guessing htm, html, php, or shtml extensions for files would be the developers call if I need ssi's for anything....
* Custom publish and upload folders - specified at the category level. <--automatic...
* Preview the article before publishing it to the website. <--automatic...
**Category Management**
* ***NEW!** - Organize your categories into Subcategories. <--automatic...Create customized filenames for categories to make more readable URLs (/[login to view URL] instead of [login to view URL]).
**Search Engine**
* Quickly search any content published with Article Manager. <--yes...
* Search for articles in all categories or only specific categories. <--yes,...
* Advanced search allows search by date range and categories. <--yes,...
**Webfeed Generator** <-- yes to all below for webfeed generator
**General Options**
* Customize the login images, title bar, footer bar, meta tags <--- request help here...not sure how to do but would like to maximize AM so SE's can find url's -
Create/delete archives and transfer articles back and forth. <--this is automatic.. I just need the Article Manager implmented into the website with the features i request.
..and, I'd like to keep it search engine friendly as this poty on the interactivetools forum suggests.
It would be easiest for a coder who has implemented Article Manager before...seems simple enough and the people at Interactive Tools told me a few hours would be sufficeint.
Thanks to all who respond.
I realize this post doesnt follow the templated version, but this seems so simple I figured I'd save the trouble of going thru the template.
Thanks again
Karl
