CMS/search project

Not sure how challenging this problem might be; also not sure how to explain the problem. Think its a content management/database problem. Let's say that a product could be named abc, bcd, cde, def, or something else to be user defined at a later time. A user could look for a product by typing in the product name or part of the product name or by typing the product description. There could be 5-10 names per product and 10000 different product and 2000 stores that carry these products to give you a sense of the magnitude of the data problem. When a user looks for a product and starts typing in the search bar, the system helps the user look for the result possibility. For example, if the user types "b", both abc and bcd come up as search possibilities before the user clicks go. Most likely the user can filter away the potential result set before even typing in the search bar by selecting various product or store criteria (could be based on location, price, color, etc. - or other tags inputted by users - weight, use type, size, etc. ). The result set will be all stores that carry the products with other store specific information (ratings, address, price, etc.) that could be used to sort and filter. I need help with the database structure, the database calls, caching, etc. The search needs to be very quick - which could mean that data needs to be cached (maybe 10% of products are searched for 90% of the time). I'm looking for someone to build a quick and dirty prototype of this. And the design needs to be flexible enough to support new categories, tags, products, etc. The design should be easily incorporated by another developer building out the website. Perhaps this could evolve into a larger site development project if all works out. If you're interested in this, pls share your expertise in this area. Or pls let me know if u have questions.
