I have Apache [url removed, login to view], Tomcat [url removed, login to view] (integrated with [url removed, login to view], so that I can call application over port 80 instead of 8080).

I have deployed an application (WAR-file) on tomcat and application works fine.

This is installed on my Windows XP notebook and

to call application I use:

http://localhost/sc/[url removed, login to view]

(this is my application).

B U T

there's one part of application that can only be used, if everything is configured using a fully qualified domain name

I need someone who helps me configuring apache.

My notebook uses dynamic IP - we don't have a domain in our network - all pc's in our network receive dynamic IP over our switch....

Here are some explanations from installation documentation of application:

In the [url removed, login to view] file of application the host parameter has to be configured. In documentation I find following advice:

1. Change the localhost param-value to the fully qualified domain name of your Web tier server, for example, myserver.mydomain.com.

Replace the values *myserver* and *[url removed, login to view]* with the server host name and domain name of the server running the ServiceCenter Web tier.

**Important:** You must specify a fully qualified domain name for the **[url removed, login to view]** parameter or the server will generate invalid URLs.

AND

The application does not accept URLs when using "localhost" or other DNS shortcuts in web.xml.

This is because the server uses the full DNS name to build the hash (the application is building a hash over full URL), but the client uses the server name in the [url removed, login to view] file - sc.host.
