A very good friend of mine needs a website to display his work, my usual coder cannot commit and my own coding skills are limited.

My friend is starting a Furniture making business and requires a custom website where he can upload images and edit pages - no CMS is needed really, we are happy to edit the code to change images manually once it is complete.

a set of insturcitons and examples are attached with this brief, if you require any further info let me know - i will be happy to create/provide graphics where necessary.

## Deliverables

brief instruction:

"So, here's the thing as I see it so far. A main entry splash page with three links on it. One for finest furniture, one for the design collection and one for the lifestyle collection. Maybe a Contact logo below the three of them.

The splash page itself will be my logo, sorta watermarked, but visible, across the background.

The grey bars and ghost damask pattern thing you have going on on my placeholder should still be there, I think, but no logo in the upper left.

That goes to the main page layout, with the logo in the top left, nav buttons/links on the left side that are always there, and the body of the page being the thing that changes.

When you pick a gallery, there'll be two sections of vertical thumbnails. One for completed projects, and one for works in progress.

When you MOUSE OVER one of the thumbnails, it gives an expanded quick view on the right side. When you click on the thumbnail, it goes to the full-detail view of the page, witch gives you a handful of other mouse-over thumbnails on the left, a description section with pricing underneith, and nav buttons to move through the gallery entries across the top.

There will also be a "philosophy" section, that'll basically be an "about us" kinda gig, with a few embedded pics in it and a lot of text, and a Contact Us section, that'll give all my, like, contact and location stuff.

And also; another section at left, reading Miscellanious. I need somewhere to put the marquetry projects

As far as fonts go, for the logo and branding and titles and such, I've been using Trajan. I know it's overdone, but it's a good font. I have, however, been reducing the size of the non-capital, lower case letters by a couple of points, as the font doesn't have actual lower case letters.

I don't know what font I'll use for the bodies of paragraphs and such. Trajan'd be too much for that, I think. But it makes for good, solid titles. "

attched i have provided some logo / layout design work from previous attempts at this project, **please use these as more of a guide** - and take more notice of the scans/scetches by friend has provided.
