I need a web based script that will place an auction snipe in the last few seconds of an ebay auction.
ebay uses timed auctions so it should be easy enough to work out when the auction closes, but the script should perhaps do some syncing with the ebay site time.
I want ppl to be able to sign up to use the service, and for their last activity to be recorded so they can see what they have sniped, what they have won, what they have lost etc.
The software should have a field to input the ebay item number then grab simple details of the auction from that.
The user should be able to set how close to the auction end they want to attempt to snipe, and a maximum they are prepared to bid.
The user should be able to cancel a snipe up to 30 seconds before the snipe, then when there are only 30 seconds left it locks, checks the current auction price and if its lower than the maximum bid the user is prepared to do wait until the selected time and place the bid.
The software should check the auctions every half hour to make sure they are still active (seller hasnt ended early) and that the current price isnt more than the users maximum, if it is flag it and allow the user to choose a new maximum, also send them an email to tell them the price is higher than their max.
The software should also be able to do group bidding, where you put several auctions of the same item from different sellers in 1 group and get it to try and win one of them at the price you want, ie if the first one goes over your maximum it writes it off and moves to the next one, but if you win that one it will ignore the other ones.
The design isnt too important, i just really need the building blocks, i can do some of the coding myself, i need the basics i have detailed above done.
