The add in (or add ins) for Oulook 2003 and Outlook 2007 (we will need it work for both versions) should be able to do the following.
1) When creating a new calendar item, there should be added a new field, called "client". This is a text field that can be filled by the user with clients name.
Optionally, the user can select a client from a list. This list will be loaded by calling a Web Service which will provide the list. The Web Services details will be given during project time.
2) When the Calendar item is saved, if there is something in the client field, the calendar data will be sent to a Web Service.
We are assuming that this can be done in 2003 as well as 2007.
If you are an experienced coder on this, please, let us know if this is possible or not.
Additional requests.
1) The application should be developed using Visual Studio 2008 and VSTO.
2) All the strings must be in resource files, so that the strings can be easily localised.
3) Fully comented source code
4) the code should always be delivered as source code, which will then be compiled on our site and tested.
5) Setup for the Add in IS PART OF THIS PROJECT, which should check for all pre-requisites and install then when (and only if) they are necessary.
